The Bid Market
Post a full crew call — audio, video, lighting, rigging, and stage positions in one listing — and let verified AV labor companies submit all-in bids.
How the Bid Market Works
From posting a full crew call to awarding one broker — four steps that mirror the actual workflow inside your Dashboard.
Why Use the Bid Market?
Built for the moment a "Post a Job" single-hire isn't enough and you need one broker to own the whole call.
Bid Market vs. Post a Job
Both live on Booked AV. They solve different problems — pick the one that matches how you're staffing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What actually makes the Bid Market different from Post a Job?
Post a Job is single-hire — one role, one accepted freelance technician per listing. The Bid Market lets you specify a full crew (per-position counts across audio, video, lighting, rigging, and stage) and receive one all-in bid from a verified AV labor company that will staff every seat.
Which positions can I include in a crew call?
The Bid Market covers the platform's full production list: Audio Engineer/FOH, Monitor Engineer, A2, Wireless Mic Tech, System Engineer, V1, V2, Camera Op, Projection/LED Tech, Video Director, Media Server Op, Lighting Designer, Lighting Programmer, Followspot Op, Master Electrician, Deck Tech, Head Rigger, Ground Rigger, Stage Manager, ASM, Stagehand/Loader/Pusher, GAV, Carpenter/Scenic, and Automation Tech.
Who is allowed to bid?
Only accounts with the Broker role that have been approved by the Booked AV admin team can view and submit bids. Depending on platform settings, brokers may also need an active monthly subscription and/or pay a per-bid fee to submit.
What if no one bids before my deadline?
Set a realistic bid_deadline when you post. If the deadline passes with zero bids and you didn't post with a free credit, your Dashboard shows a Request Refund button — one click returns your posting fee.
Can I still message brokers or ask questions before awarding?
Yes. Open a bid from your Dashboard to review the broker's profile, insurance documents, past reviews, cover message, and any attachments. Use the built-in messenger to clarify scope before you award.
What happens the moment I award a bid?
The chosen bid is marked awarded, every other bid on the same job is auto-declined, and the job's status flips to awarded with the winning broker linked. If a bid-award fee is configured, checkout runs first; jobs posted with a credit skip that fee.
